What is a free Catbox alternative for image and video hosting?
ImgLink is a free option for hosting images and MP4, WebM, and MOV video files with shareable links. You can upload without signing up. It is not a general-purpose file host: anonymous uploads are limited to 25MB per file, and signed-in uploads to 50MB per file.
Choose it for the right job.
Check the formats and sizes you actually need. A service suited to small images or short clips may not suit large videos, archives, audio files, or temporary file sharing. Test a representative file before moving existing links.

- 01
Upload something you own
Choose a file, select its visibility, and upload. Keep a copy of the original.
- 02
Test the link where you need it
Use the direct URL for an embed or the viewer link for a media page. Check it in your forum, website, or chat.
- 03
Replace your old links
Update posts and pages you can edit. Keep a record of old and new URLs; another host's links will not redirect automatically.

Before you upload.
Can I upload videos as well as images to this Catbox alternative?
Yes. The uploader accepts MP4, WebM, and MOV videos alongside PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and SVG images. The receiving app or browser determines whether a video plays inline. ImgLink is intended for sharing media files, not adaptive streaming or large video archives.
What are ImgLink's free upload limits?
Without an account, you can select up to five files at a time, with a maximum of 25MB per file. A signed-in account allows up to 15 files at a time and 50MB per file. Storage and rate limits also apply; account and PRO details are listed on the pricing page.
How do I move existing Catbox links to ImgLink?
Download files you own or use your local originals, upload them to ImgLink, then replace the old URLs in posts and pages you can edit. Keep a mapping of old and new links and test the new embeds. ImgLink cannot redirect another provider's URLs or recover files you no longer have.
Is a private upload accessible only to my account?
No. Private visibility means link-only sharing rather than public discovery. Anyone with the URL can access the file. Do not upload confidential information that requires passwords, recipient authentication, or revocable access permissions.
Are free hosting links a substitute for keeping a backup?
No. Keep your own copy of important files. Hosted files can become unavailable if you delete them, they violate the content policy, or the service changes. Use the Terms of Service for current conditions rather than treating a share link as a storage guarantee.
